New Year’s Resolutions Your Pet Would Approve Of

We have officially made it to 2021! While your New Year may have started a bit differently than the celebrations of years passed, it seems New Year’s resolutions are here to stay. To help you make yours, we have come up with a list of New Year’s resolutions your pet would approve of.

1. Go on more walks (with your dog, of course).

Sure, you could sign up for a new gym membership, or dust off your old exercise bike, but what fun would that be? Your four-legged friends would be happy to accompany you on regular walks for free! Even better, you’ll have a little buddy to keep you accountable. You can both make time for your daily exercise, and spend more time together. It’s a win-win!

2. Start an Instagram account for your cat.

As if you needed another excuse to take pictures of your cat, we have the perfect opportunity for overzealous pet parents! Whether you’re posting a #ThrowbackThursday photo of your cat as a kitten, or dressing them up for Halloween, you’re sure to brighten someone’s day with your adorable cat pictures. You can even follow SICSA on Instagram at @sicsa and tag us to show us what you and your feline friends are up to!

3. Find a new treat for your fur babies.

New year, new treats? We’re sure your pets would welcome the opportunity to try out some new snacks! You can shop unique, natural options that directly support SICSA with Pet Wants Dayton, or try out an easy DIY recipe from our blog. Either way, we’re sure your furry friends will enjoy this delicious resolution.

4. Help pets in need.

We’re sure your pets would approve of you lending a paw to dogs and cats in need. Whether you collect items to donate, volunteer your time, or even become an Active Member of SICSA, there are a plethora of ways to get involved. The people and pets here are extremely grateful for all of the support we receive, and we would love to add new members to our pack!

5. Adopt a new family member.

If you’re ready to add a new addition to your family this year, consider adopting a pet! The pets in our care would love nothing more than to find forever homes, and you could be just that. Take a look at our adoptable animals and learn more about the adoption process here.

Whatever your resolutions may be, we hope you and your pets remain happy and healthy in 2021. From the entire SICSA Pack, Happy New Year.
