SICSA Student Intern Program
The SICSA Student Intern Program is an opportunity for High School Students to volunteer at SICSA and gain experience working with an animal rescue organization. The program allows students to volunteer at SICSA working with the animals, helping with cleaning, and participating in SICSSA events. Students are able to craft their own schedule allowing them to continue to participate in school activities and volunteer when they have time.
What do Student Interns do?
Student Interns volunteer at SICSA doing a variety of tasks to help the shelter like laundry, kennel cleaning, dog walking, cat enrichment and other activities. Volunteer schedules are set individually by each Student Intern according to their availability and the volunteer activity.
How can I apply to be a Student Intern at SICSA?
Students wishing to apply to be a part of the Student Intern Program must complete the application, provide adult references, and go through the interview process. Selected students then attend orientation and receive comprehensive training before volunteering.
