Sometimes, however, a new home is best. An animal shelter is not always the best option and should be a last resort. Why? The best shelters are still loud and often stressful places for pets. If your pet can find a new home without coming to the shelter, that’s likely the best choice. Before surrendering, we ask that you post your pet to the SICSA Home to Home private rehoming site. Your pet will be listed on our website, and people looking to adopt a new pet will be able to reach out to you directly, bypassing the shelter completely.
