Meet your Foster Coordinator!

My name is Olivia Lavoie but my friends and family call me Livy. I started my career at SICSA back in September 2022 as an adoption counselor. I began helping with foster coordinating in March 2023 and have been loving it ever since. My favorite part of the job is getting to meet all of the kind and passionate fosters and volunteers of SICSA.

I started fostering when I was in high school. A friend of mine was involved with a local rescue and I knew I had to be a part of it! I instantly fell in love with all the different personalities you get to come across when fostering. There’s nothing more rewarding than being the person who earns a dog's trust and gets to see their goofy silly side before anybody else. That is the most rewarding part of being a foster!

Foster animals can be posted on your personal social media pages, and mentioned to friends, family members, coworkers and neighbors. Share cute photos and videos, updates on how they are doing, and encourage people to adopt.

Take notes

Provide our SICSA team with notes on how your foster pet is doing in the home. Hearing how great a pet is in a home environment may be just the thing a potential adopter is looking for!
