Public Spay/Neuter and TNR Have Returned!

We are ecstatic to return to doing what we love: serving the Dayton community! Our public programs are incredibly important to our mission at SICSA Pet Adoption and Wellness Center, and we are grateful to be able to serve the public once again. Our public spay and neuter services, as well as our TNR (Trap, Neuter, Return) program, are now available to the public! At SICSA, we hold population control and disease management as essential factors in preventing the homelessness of animals. By providing these programs, we allow both pet owners and concerned community members to do their part in maintaining local animal populations.

Through TNR, animal advocates are able to trap feral cats in a humane manner, bring them to SICSA for spay or neuter surgery, and return them back to their locality. This is a fantastic option for cats who are not domesticated, and prevents the breeding of said cats, thus leaving fewer homeless cats in the Dayton area overall. This service is not for owned pets. If you are interesting in learning more, and scheduling, you can do so here.

Through our public spay and neuter program, we are able to offer affordable spay/neuter services to the general public. This allows not only the necessary control of population, but can also be incredibly helpful in proactive disease management. By spaying or neutering your pet, you can avoid late complications, such as testicular cancer. You can read more about this service and how to schedule your pets’ procedure here.
