In March of 2021, Tig arrived at SICSA. Energetic and loveable from the start, staff and volunteers expected him to be adopted quickly. However, his behavioral quirks presented a barrier to finding his forever home, and he was often overlooked by potential adopters. With care and patience from the Animal Care team, Tig has spent months working on his manners. Despite this, he has still yet to find the home he deserves. Given the length of time Tig has spent with SICSA, he has joined the No Pet Left Behind program.
The No Pet Left Behind program waives the adoption fee of pets that have been with SICSA for an extended period of time. This is done in hopes of giving them a better chance of being adopted. Whether their length of stay is due to medical complications, behavioral challenges, or them simply being overlooked, SICSA is determined to do everything they can to find each pet the perfect family.
Despite Tig’s multiple months with SICSA, he continues to grow more loveable every day. He enjoys playing in the yard, working with the Animal Care Team, and taking time out of the adoption center during Paw Partner excursions. Just as Tig remains determined to make the most of each day, SICSA is determined to see him finally be adopted.
