Hike with a Rescue Dog
SICSA and the Centerville-Washington Parks District are teaming up to bring rescue dogs to the trails! To kick off this partnership, we are doing a Volunteer Orientation and Paw Partner Active training, complete with dogs ready to hike!
The event will begin with a brief training session, followed by a group hike with SICSA dogs through CWPD’s Bill Yeck Park. After which, participants will be official SICSA Volunteers and able to participate in our Paw Partner Active program. Paw Partner Volunteers can take SICSA’s adoptable dogs that have been previously approved for the program on outings in the community for a variety of activities like a long run, a walk around the neighborhood or a challenging hike at a nearby park!
Please take a moment to:
- Complete the Adult/PYPer* Volunteer Application.
- Register to participate no later 8:30AM on Thursday, October 3rd.
18+ and children ages 8-12 accompanied by parent/guardian as *Parent-Youth-Partner(PYPer) Volunteers.
