Camp is an exciting time for kids (and their parents, if we are honest). Here at SICSA, our camps are focused on humane education which teaches empathy, respect and responsibility for our pets,

as well as all living things including themselves and others. Natasha H. recently said “Thank you guys so much for the positive impact that you have [had] on our boys.” It is this impact that SICSA strives to make available to as many children as possible and why we offer a limited number of full and partial camperships for Summer Camps. These Camperships funds are offered so that students who otherwise could not afford to attend camps, can attend, be inspired and empowered as animal advocates not just for our animals today but for our future.

SICSA’s Campership Fund is named after David Irwin Brown.  David was a Boy Scout, an athlete, a scholar, and artist in Centerville, Ohio. He loved all animals and is remembered as a gentle, compassionate soul who was always willing to lend a hand to any creature in need. The David Irwin Brown Campership Fund is his legacy. Campership will provide access to SICSA Animal Adventure Camps to bring together, educate, inspire, and empower compassionate young people, and to provide an avenue for the community to perpetuate David’s kindness and generosity.
