An Update on the Kettering Facility

As we reach this exciting time in SICSA’s history, we can’t help but look back on all the wonderful years we spent at 2600 Wilmington Pike. We’re sure you’re wondering many things about that facility, and we want to help answer those questions the best we can.

SICSA plans to move all services to Washington Township, mothballing the building on Wilmington Pike in Kettering, and eventually putting it up for sale.  We own the current building, which sits on two acres of land.  As much as we would like to keep some kind of services in Kettering, the Washington Township location was built to accommodate all our current and expanding program needs.  As such, it doesn’t make sense to have staff at two different locations, maintaining two operating budgets, etc.

We know many of you have asked about the bricks out front of the old building. We will be taking the bricks with us!  Our plan is to add them to our landscaping plans for the spring.  We are concerned about the shape some of the bricks are in and will be trying to address that as soon as we are able.

If you’re looking for a way to leave your mark on the new building, consider purchasing a square in our collage. This is a more permanent way to leave your mark.
