A Vacation for Dogs: Paw Partner Foster Overnight

Have you ever considered fostering an animal but weren’t quite sure about keeping an animal long term? SICSA now has an incredible opportunity for you. Introducing: Paw Partner Foster Overnight!

Through this short-term foster program, volunteers can keep an animal for one to two nights to give them a well-deserved break from shelter life. This allows the animals to better socialize outside of SICSA, while also allowing volunteers to let us know more about their unique personalities in a home environment.

The dogs eligible for this program are medium to large dogs who have been with us for 10-14 days, or are showing signs of stress in the kennel. We ask that Paw Partner Foster Volunteers commit to at least 2 nights with their Paw Partner dog, picking up on Monday or Tuesday, and returning on Wednesday or Thursday. This ensures that the dogs will be onsite during our peak adoption hours on Friday and Saturday.

While the dog is in your care, you can make their mini-vacation whatever works best for both of you! Whether you decide to spend quality time snuggling on the couch, or enjoy dinner together on one of Dayton’s dog-friendly patios, the options are endless! During your time together, you can share photos to the Paw Partner only Facebook page. Keep an eye on SICSA’s social media, and you may just see your photos posted!
