Do you really want to adopt a Cat?

Owning a cat can be a lot of work and your commitment lasts long after the newness wears off.  So before you act, stop and ask yourself...

  1. Are you ready to give the cat the time and attention it needs:
    • tending to sick cats in the middle of the night
    • cleaning up messes
  2. Are you ready for the financial commitment?   It can all add up quickly.
    • quality food & snacks
    • toys
    • veterinary bills
  3. Is everyone in the family on board with this decision?
  4. Do you have any other pets?
  5. Is your house set up for a cat?
  6. If you rent, do you have your landlord's permission?
