Annual Meeting and Vote for Volunteer Board Representative

Time is drawing close to elect a Volunteer Representative to serve on the SICSA Board of Directors. As you may recall, Volunteers in good standing elect someone to represent their interests as a seated position on the SICSA Board of Directors. This person is elected at a special meeting held right before the Annual Membership Meeting. The Annual Membership meeting will be held on Feb. 16, 2012 starting at 7:00 pm, with refreshments beginning at 6:30 pm. The Volunteer representative vote will take place at 6:45 and conclude at the start of the annual meeting.

We have received two nominees for the current open position: Sandi Knost and Danielle Poe.

Copies of their bios are posted on the volunteer bulletin board near the volunteer hours sign in sheet. Ballots will be available to vote if you cannot attend the meeting. Please submit your absentee ballots to either Carolyn or Patrick.

In order to vote in this Volunteer Election you must be a Volunteer in good standing, which means, you are an active volunteer (has logged at least one hour between 2/1/11 and 1/31/12) with a signed volunteer agreement on file. If you do not know if you have a signed agreement on file, please fill out another one just in case. You can obtain one of these from any of the volunteer coordinators.

An additional note, while anyone may attend the Annual Membership Meeting that evening at 7, only Members in good standing may vote or provide any comments. Members in good standing are those that have paid the minimum 2012 membership dues of $38. If you have not paid your 2012 membership dues, you can do so at the SICSA front desk, online at www.sicsa.org  or before the meeting during the 6:30 to 7:00 refreshment and social hour. Please be at the meeting 15 minutes early to cast your vote. Ballots will be tallied during the meeting and the new Board Representative will be announced later in the evening.
